King is a life-size, 12 point whitetail buck, an unforgettable piece. His elegance is amplified by the care given to anatomic precision. His coloring is exquisite and the curves of his features draw you to staring. King was inspired by a mount, harvested by a friend in the 1940's in south Texas.

King was created at the same time as 2 other commissioned pieces named "White Tail Doe" and "Fawn." The White Tail Doe and Fawn are also in bronze, and are portrayed standing. The 3 pieces are wonderful together as a grouping.

This bronze was recently shown in the Pena Studio & Gallery of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
