Body & Rug Shoulder Mounts When skinning, cut around the front leg joint,
and up the backside of the legs. Carefully skin the shoulder and
brisket area forward and down the neck, taking care not to cut any
holes. Continue skinning down the neck until reaching the head and
neck juncture, cut the head off at the base off the skull. When
you get to just behind the ears, stop and make a Y cut to each antler
or horn with a 6-8" cut down the neck (try to stay in the longer
hair). Peel around the antlers, cutting the ears off as close to
the skull as possible. Continue down the head to the eyes, careful
not to cut off the eyelids. Down around the lips and nose cutting
as close to the bone as possible. |
